Cleanup/ Grounds crew member
Starlight Theatre, one of the nation's oldest and largest outdoor Theatres, is seeking personnel for season full-time positions (approx March-Oct). Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Event Setup (no theatrical or stage work)
- Maintaining an adequate supply inventory and stock
- Indoor and outdoor cleaning
- Light bulb and air filter changes
- Trash and recycling sorting, pick-up and disposal
- Operation of handheld and backpack gas-powered equipment
- Preventive and other light maintenance
- Compliance with all safety rules & regulations
Pay rate: starting at $9.35* per hour! ($8.75 + $0.60) *Eligible employees 18 & over who have fulfilled their Employment Agreements receive an additional $0.60 for each hour worked during the bonus period. Overtime hours are excluded.
Additional perks include concert and Broadway tickets (provided out of a pool of tickets for all seasonal employees; tickets are not guaranteed).
Qualified candidates must possess a true customer service focus that includes an acute eye for detail, good interpersonal skills, a clean criminal record, excellent organizational habits, the desire to work outdoors, an ability to follow all safety regulations. Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. Must also enjoy working outdoors in all weather under tight schedules while being held to very high standards. Applicant must be punctual, reliable, dependable and willing to seek out work.

Teaching Artists
Are you a theatre artist interested in using your skills and talents to guide metro area youth through the amazing world of theatre? If so, Starlight Theatre is seeking artisans for upcoming opportunities during our 2009 summer and fall seasons. We are currently building a roster of teaching artists for upcoming camps, workshops, classes, residency programs and more. We are seeking candidates with acting, singing and dance experience as well as technical theatre skills.
