Step right up! And, step right back in time to 1907 Coney Island at After Hours at the Towers hosted by Young Friends of Starlight. The fun begins at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 27, at Starlight Theatre.

Marking its third year, After Hours at the Towers is an annual themed fundraiser in support of college internships at Starlight. This year’s event is inspired by Love Never Dies, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s brand-new spellbinding sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, which will be performed at Starlight this August.

During their Coney Island night, After Hours at the Towers’ guests will enjoy music by Kansas City band Lost Wax, Boardwalk-inspired bites provided by a dozen local restaurants, fun-filled carnival games and awe-inspiring street performers.

Funds raised from event sponsorships benefit Starlight’s Bob Rohlf Internship program, which provides paid summer internships to college students across multiple departments. YFS has a goal to raise at least $20,000 from sponsors to support the 2018 internship program.

“Starlight is a pillar of Kansas City’s cultural landscape,” said Beau G. Heyen, 2018 After Hours at the Towers event chair. “This year’s event will be our chance to not only highlight the beautiful, one-of-a-kind theatre but to also showcase the amazing programs that are setting the stage for a bright future for dozens of interns, past, present and future!”

Ticket prices range from $50 to $80, but guests who purchase early can save:
