It’s officially summertime at Starlight! Starlight Theatre’s 2018 concert season is underway this Friday with rock band Modest Mouse.

Modest Mouse formed in Issaquah, Wash., in 1993 and has since released six studio albums, most recently Strangers to Ourselves in 2015, with the hit single “Lampshades of Fire.” The rock band reached mainstream success in 2004 with Good News for People Who Love Bad News and the hit singles “Float On” and “Ocean Breathes Salty.”

Founded by guitarist and vocalist Isaac Brock, bassist Eric Judy and drummer Jeremiah Green, Modest Mouse released their debut album, This is a Long Drive for Someone with Nothing to Think About, in 1996. A year later, they followed with The Lonesome Crowded West, which earned the group positive press and considerable sales success by indie label standards before reaching mainstream success in 2004.

Modest Mouse is the first of many concerts under the stars this summer. For a full list of concerts, visit our concert page.
