One of the most beloved sitcoms of all time is rumored to be on its way to Broadway. The original creator and star of “The Nanny,” Fran Drescher, has announced that a stage adaptation is in the works and includes the team behind the CW musical comedy “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” With six successful seasons airing on CBS in the mid to late 90s, “The Nanny” tells the story of a young woman who unexpectedly gets a job as caretaker for a Broadway producer’s three children. Dear Evan Hansen and Mean Girls producers have signed on to the stage adaptation as well, and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical’s Marc Bruni is set to direct.
