Act Like an Animal and Take a Bow at Starlight Summer Camps
2014-05-09 CATEGORY: Education
There’s still time – and limited space – to enroll your budding young actor or actress in a camp at Starlight Theatre this summer. Youngsters can tap into their star potential at Act Like An Animal Camp and Camp Take-a-Bow. But hurry because spots for these exciting day-camps are going fast!
Act Like An Animal
Only 20 spots remain for ages 5-10
For two weeks, campers spend half of each day at Starlight and the other half at the Kansas City Zoo. Participants interact with animals, work on crafts, play camp games and learn acting, movement and music skills. A final performance and camper art display highlight the week’s ed-ventures for family and friends.
July 2, 3, 7-11
Only 15 spots remain for ages 11-14
At Camp-Take-a-Bow, the creative artist in each camper is nurtured through intensive sessions in singing, dancing and acting. Campers also learn behind-the-scenes aspects of theatre by contributing to set design, assembling costumes and creating props for the stage. Performers, artists and aspiring technicians will create a fully-produced musical.
