Why would I want to sell my tickets? | Top
If you cannot make it to a performance, you can place your tickets for sale on the Starlight Ticket Marketplace. Season tickets may be listed on the Marketplace at the single ticket price, including the typical single ticket service charge. The amount of the resulting credit (minus the per ticket single ticket fees) will be returned to you in the form a check.

Checks will be processed within 7-10 days after the final performance each production.

How do I sell my tickets? | Top

  • Visit the Season Ticket Holders Only page at www.kcstarlight.com
  • Select the Ticket Marketplace option.
  • Next, log in using your email and password.
  • Under "My Inventory," or home page, click “Sell” next to the performance for which you would like to sell tickets.
Now you will set the key aspects of your posting.
  • Set how many days and hours prior to the event you'd like your sale to end.  If not set by you, all postings will automatically conclude 48 hours prior to event with ownership remaining with the seller. (Remember that if you would like the opportunity to exchange your season tickets or return them as a tax-deductible contribution if they do not sell, you have up until 24 hours prior to your originally scheduled show—season ticket exchanges and returns must be performed at least 24 hours prior to your originally scheduled performance.)
  • Click “Finish” to complete your ticket posting. Be sure to hold on to your tickets until further e-mail notice. If your tickets don't sell, your original tickets are still valid and available for you to use at the event.

What are Seller Descriptions? | Top
By providing a description of your posting in this field, you can customize your offer and make it attractive to prospective buyers. Descriptions may be up to 200 characters in length. An example of a potential description is, "These seats are just 5 rows from the stage."

The first 52 characters included in the "Description" field appear on the main postings page. To access the complete description, as well as all of the items included in a posting, simply click on the plus (+) sign after the partial description located in the "Description" column. The page will reconfigure to include the complete posting. You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the descriptions included with your postings on the Starlight Ticket Marketplace. Disabled Seats must be clearly designated.

Unfortunately, we are unable to facilitate the resale of subscriber parking and dinners at the Helzberg Diamonds VIP Club.

What are the Seller Description Rules? | Top
Sellers have the ability to describe their ticket posting during the ticket posting process. Sellers are limited to 200 characters to describe their ticket offering. Seller descriptions may not contain the following:

1) Personal contact information such as e-mail address, telephone numbers or arrangements for sales outside of the Starlight Ticket Marketplace.
2) Profanity or offensive, inappropriate language.
3) Inaccurate descriptions of postings, including misleading information regarding seat location, amenities or single performance gate price.
4) Links to outside Websites or other solicitations.

Sellers that are found to be in violation of the Seller Description Rules will have their Ticket Marketplace access revoked. All item descriptions are subject to review. Starlight reserves the right to edit your listing to fit within the guidelines above.

How many tickets can I place for sale? | Top
You may place as many tickets for sale as you’d like, however, the total number of seats for sale at one time for a specific event and the total number of events you can sell over the course of the year may be restricted. This means there may be occasions when you will not be able to list tickets for sale. If you have a large number of tickets to sell for a specific performance, it may be best to sell them in several smaller blocks instead of one large block.

Is there a minimum or maximum price for which I can sell my tickets? | Top
Tickets will be posted at the Starlight single ticket price, including normal single ticket service fee. That fee will be retained by Starlight Theatre.

Why is the amount on my listing more than the single ticket price? | Top
Starlight includes all applicable single ticket service fee in your listing price. The single ticket service fee will be retained by Starlight Theatre.

Can I sell my subscriber parking or dinecards? | Top
Unfortunately, no. We are not able to facilitate the resale of subscriber parking or dinner at the Helzberg Diamonds VIP Club.

How can I be sure that I placed my tickets for sale? | Top
After placing tickets for sale, you will receive an e-mail message confirming that you have successfully placed your tickets for sale. You can also review your ticket activity under "My Market."  You may also check the Message Section if you suspect that your e-mail has not been received or deleted.

What do I do with the tickets I've placed for sale? | Top
Do not destroy your current tickets.  When your tickets have been sold, you will be notified via e-mail and the bar code on your original tickets will be cancelled. Ownership of the sold tickets will then be transferred to the ticket buyer. After receiving notification that your tickets have been sold, you must destroy your tickets for that performance. If you attempt to use tickets for admittance to Starlight Theatre after they have been sold, all privileges to the Starlight Ticket Marketplace including, but not limited to, buying and selling of tickets may be revoked. If your tickets don't sell, you will be notified via e-mail and your original tickets will still be valid and available for you to use at the event.

Will I be notified if the tickets sell? | Top
Yes. You will be notified via e-mail when your tickets have been sold, at which time confirmation of your sale will be posted in your Ticket Marketplace messages.  At this point, you should destroy your original tickets.

How will I receive payment for my sale? | Top
The amount of the resulting credit (minus the per ticket single ticket fees) will be returned to you in the form a check. Checks will be processed within 7-10 days after the final performance each production.

Can I cancel a ticket posting? | Top
Yes.  Once you have placed tickets for sale, you may cancel the posting in the "My Market" section. Edit the ticket posting you'd like to cancel and click “Withdraw Tickets.” Once a ticket is sold, however you may no longer cancel that sale.

What happens if I sell my tickets and the performance is cancelled? | Top
In the rare occasion that an event is cancelled, ownership of the tickets remains with the ticket buyer. The seller waives any rights to tickets that have been sold via the Starlight Ticket Marketplace. Please read our Terms and Conditions for complete details.

What happens if my tickets don't sell? | Top
If your tickets don't sell, you will receive an e-mail message to that effect. Your original tickets are still valid and available for you to use at the event. (Remember that unsold tickets can still be exchanged for another night’s performance or turned in as a tax deductible contribution if you still have at least 24 hours before the date on your original ticket. Contact the Starlight Theatre ticket office for more information.)

When can I place tickets for sale? | <Top
Tickets may be posted anytime after the on-sale date of the event that you are selling.  When you post your tickets for sale, you can designate when you would like your ticket sale to end.

When do ticket sales end? | <Top
When you place your tickets for sale, you can specify when you would like the ticket sale to end.  You are limited to end the sale three weeks from the specified event date.  The posting will be automatically ended 48 hours prior to the original event date / time.
