Community Programs

Starlight Theatre has been a fixture in the Kansas City community since 1950. We are proud to continue to give back to our hometown in several ways:

• Each Broadway season, Starlight donates 364 tickets to every night of every performance to non-profit organizations. Priority is given to those organizations that serve underprivileged and at-risk youth, medically dependent or disabled individuals, and low-income senior citizens. In total, Starlight donates more than 11,000 tickets each season to these deserving groups.
• On selected nights and on a pre-arranged basis, non-profit organizations are invited to perform before Broadway shows on Starlight Theatre's community stage.
• Starlight Theatre tickets are donated to support the fund-raising efforts of numerous community organizations representing the arts, education and at-risk youth.

Starlight also welcomes community members who wish to volunteer their time to support theatre activities and events through our Ambassadors program.
