Starlight Theatre and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City are excited and pleased to, once again, present to Kansas City audiences the 2009-2010 Blue Star Awards Program. Now in its eighth season, the Blue Star Awards Program is designed to recognize outstanding achievement in musical theatre production and performance among high school students. The program's goal remains bringing together high school musical theatre programs in metropolitan Kansas City and outlying areas to recognize and celebrate outstanding talent among the area youth.
By participating in the Blue Star Awards Program, students receive feedback from working professionals and interact on a creative level with their high school peers from across the metropolitan area. All area high schools are invited to join in on this exciting opportunity.
