Vincent Legacy Scholarship
A performing arts scholarship for ethnically diverse students in sixth, seventh, and eighth grade
Starlight Theatre is pleased to be heading into its sixth year of offering the Vincent Legacy Scholarship. Since 2006, Starlight and local community leaders Greg and Rebecca Reid have awarded eleven Vincent Legacy Scholarships. The Reids have also organized a generous $50,000 endowment fund for the scholarship βto provide youth who show performing arts promise the opportunity to further refine and improve their skills through professional instruction, but who otherwise might not be able to secure additional training.β
The application for the 2011 Vincent Legacy Scholarship will be coming soon!

This scholarship opportunity is available to ethnically diverse youth in sixth, seventh or eighth grade. The scholarship will pay for up to $2,500 of performing arts instruction for the selected recipient.
To be eligible to apply, students:
- must maintain a minimum βBβ (3.0) grade point average

Upon review of all applications, Starlight will host auditions for up to 12 selected finalists. Each finalist will audition in the area of performance that best expresses his or her area of expertise.
All applicants who submit completed applications will be contacted to verify receipt of their materials. Auditions for those chosen to continue on in the selection process will take place in the spring (date to be determined). A specific audition time will be set when the applicant is notified he/she is being invited to audition. No other time or day will be made available for auditions.
Once the audition process is complete, Starlight Theatre staff will meet with the annual scholarship recipient to create an individualized plan of performance art instruction that best suits the student and his or her needs. The scholarship will be paid directly from Starlight to the professional individual, association or agency providing performing arts instruction.
