Vincent Legacy Scholarship

Starlight Theatre is pleased to be heading into its eighth year of offering the Vincent Legacy Scholarship.

Since 2006, Starlight and local community leaders Greg and Rebecca Reid have awarded sixteen Vincent Legacy Scholarships. The Reids have also organized a generous $50,000 endowment fund for the scholarship “to provide youth who show performing arts promise the opportunity to further refine and improve their skills through professional instruction, but who otherwise might not be able to secure additional training.

Application Review:

The deadline for application is Monday, April 8, 2013. Starlight will host auditions for selected finalists. Each finalist will audition in the area of performance that best expresses his or her expertise, be it singing, acting and/or dance.

All applicants will be contacted to verify receipt of their materials. Auditions for those chosen to continue on in the selection process will take place Sunday, April 21, 2013 beginning at 1:30 pm. A specific audition time will be set and audition requirements will be provided when the applicant is notified he/she is being invited to audition. No other day will be made available for auditions.

Once the audition process is complete, Starlight Theatre staff will meet with the annual scholarship recipient to create an individualized plan of performance art instruction that best suits the student and his or her needs. The scholarship will be paid directly from Starlight to the professional individual, association or agency providing performing arts instruction.
