Multi-platinum Canadian rock band Nickelback hits the road this summer on a 44-city North American tour. Among the Feed The Machine Tour’s dates is a performance at Starlight Theatre on Sunday, July 23.
Joining Nickelback for all U.S. concert dates are Daughtry and Shaman’s Harvest.
Nickelback’s ninth studio album, Feed The Machine (BMG), is set for release June 9. Written by Nickelback and co-produced with Chris Baseford (Slash, Shinedown), the title single “Feed The Machine” is a defiant rock anthem featuring blistering guitar riffs and rhythm tracks.
Since forming in Alberta, Canada, in 1996, Nickelback has achieved worldwide sales of more than 50 million units. The band features Chad Kroeger (lead vocals, guitar), Ryan Peake (guitar, backing vocals), Mike Kroeger (bass) and Daniel Adair (drums, backing vocals).
Their 2001 smash single “How You Remind Me” was named Billboard’s Top Rock Song of the Decade and came in No. 4 on the Top 10 Songs of the 2000s list. Nickelback has also been honored with nine Grammy Award nominations, three American Music Awards, a World Music Award, a People’s Choice Award, 12 JUNO Awards and induction in Canada’s Walk of Fame in 2007.
Also performing will be Daughtry, the band formed and fronted by “American Idol” fifth-season finalist Chris Daughtry. The American rock band has released four studio albums since it debuted in 2006. In February 2016, Daughtry released their first greatest hits album, It’s Not Over…The Hits So Far.
Shaman’s Harvest, a rock band from Jefferson City, Mo., is also on the tour bill in all cities.
