 Starlight's 24th Annual Benefit Gala took place on Saturday, May 22, 2010. This year's theme, "Reaching for the Stars" celebrated Starlight Theatre's first 60 years and its starring role in Kansas City, capped by a one-night-only stage show that has become the hallmark of the annual event. This outstanding entertainment and the dance party that follows - has firmly established the Starlight Annual Gala as both a good cause and a great time!
Begun more than two decades ago by a group of supporters determined to restore Starlight to the premier facility Kansas Citians deserved, the evening also includes a cocktail reception, dinner onstage and the presentation of the annual Star Award, which honors outstanding contributions to the performing arts.
As a non-profit theatrical organization, Starlight is dependent on the evening's much-needed revenues, which enable our theatre to continue to provide Broadway musical entertainment at family friendly prices. We are grateful for the support of our patrons and would love for you to join us on stage as well!
