Do you know a Kansas City-metro teen or tween who is interested in growing their singing, dancing and acting skills? Starlight encourages area students to sign up to audition for Starlight’s summer performance troupes—the Starlight Stars and Starlight Stars of Tomorrow.

Starlight Stars of Tomorrow is tailored for middle school students, while Starlight Stars serves high school performers. Both programs focus on training youth in a variety of aspects of the performing arts and provide exclusive access to industry professionals and master classes led by Broadway actors. Each troupe will perform this summer prior to select Broadway performances and throughout the community, and members get an opportunity to extend into the fall and winter season as a combined holiday troupe.

To audition for the Starlight Stars or Starlight Stars of Tomorrow, students must prepare and memorize 32 bars of a Broadway musical piece to showcase vocal range, perform a group dance audition and provide a current resume and headshot.

Auditions are as follows:

Starlight Stars (grades 8 to 11)
Monday, March 23 – 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, March 28 – 2:00 p.m.

Starlight Stars of Tomorrow (grades 5 to 7)

Saturday, March 28 – 10:00 a.m.
