Broadway Shows to Perform During Thanksgiving Parade

The nation’s beloved spectacle, the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, returns for the 91st year of magic on Thursday, Nov. 23. A full broadcast of the parade will air on NBC with Today Show hosts Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie.

Telemundo will simulcast the parade in Spanish with hosts Carlos Ponce, Jessica Carrillo and Karim Mendiburu. CBS will air portions of the parade hosted by Kevin Frazier and Keltie Knight.

Each broadcast will feature performances by various Broadway shows. Performance details are below.

NBC / Telemundo – Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade
Thursday, Nov. 23 at 9 a.m.

Before Santa arrives, it is a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade tradition to highlight some of Broadway’s best shows, and this year is no exception!

The parade will feature performances from the 2017 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Dear Evan Hansen, the upcoming revival of Once on This Island and new musicals Anastasia and SpongeBob SquarePants.

Also joining the parade lineup is music superstar Gwen Stefani, who will perform “White Christmas.” A host of stars, including Harry Connick Jr., Whoopi Goldberg, Steve Harvey, Jane Krakowski, Gaten Matarazzo, Chrissy Metz, John O’Hurley, Martha Stewart and Thalía, will be showcased at locations across the country.

More of Broadway’s best are lined up to show off their talents during CBS’ Thanksgiving Day Parade coverage. The broadcast will feature performances from the casts of Come From Away and Waitress, including two-time Grammy Award winner Jason Mraz. Portions of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will also air during the broadcast.
