Camp Session: Mon. - Fri., July 10-21, 2017
Registration open 10 a.m. Mon., April 3 through 4 p.m. Mon., July 3
Each summer Starlight Theatre offers Camp Take-a-Bow for youth currently enrolled in grades 5 to 8 (2016-17 school year).
This popular camp gives campers the opportunity to gain in-depth, hands-on experience in creating and staging a musical theatre production.
With its emphasis squarely on performance, the camp helps students hone their skills in acting, singing and dancing. They learn to command the stage as they prepare for a final musical performance for family and friends.
Campers also build their technical theatre talents by lending a hand with backstage crewing, and design and construction of sets, props and costumes. And, of course, there’s time for good old-fashioned camp games and playful theatre activities each day, too.
After Camp Take-a-Bow, students are ready to “break a leg” on future auditions, rehearsals and performances.
$350 – 10-day camp
Campers need to bring a lunch each day. Snacks are provided.
8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
After care is available until 5:30 p.m. for an additional $15 per day.

- Angela Swift, parent of 2016 camper
"My daughter loved going each day, and I was happy she got to be involved in the whole process of putting on a show. The camp covered music, acting, dance and art – all of which she very much enjoyed!"
- Laura Niederhauser, parent of 2016 camper
"It is incredible that in nine days, the campers and staff are able to design, create and perform such a great show. My daughter had a blast!"
- Jan Gavin, parent of 2016 camper
"As a parent of a child with high-functioning autism, it is difficult to find camps that work well for my son. The staff took the time to understand his needs and adapt to him, not the other way around, which is often the case in a mainstream camp setting."
- Amy Wilkinson, parent of 2016 camper
