Spring Break Camp
Registration for the 2017 camp sessions is now closed.
During spring break from school, Starlight Theatre welcomes youth in grades 1 to 5 to Spring Break Camp.
This popular day camp, which meets for five days during Kansas City area school districts’ spring break, gives students a fun and interactive opportunity to discover new skills, hidden talents and the thrill of performance.
Young artists, in age-appropriate groups, are led by theatre professionals as they explore acting, singing and dance. They learn to collaborate with others as they rehearse and create sets, props and costumes for a final musical performance for family and friends. Theatre and skill-building activities round out each camp day.
No previous performance experience is required to attend Spring Break Camp!

“My son loved the camp, and it really brought out a different side of him. He was focused and creative with his character, and he showed more appreciation for what went on behind the scenes of a production. He is inspired to learn more and try out for 'real' parts in plays.”
- Kimberly Mann, mother of 2016 camper
“What an exceptional program! My daughter had an amazing week creating set designs, learning new songs, dancing and meeting new friends. And at the end, our family was treated to a wonderful final performance. This is not your typical kids "end of camp" song and dance. My daughter can’t wait to do this again next year.”
- Mother of 2016 camper
“Very organized and awesome experience for my kids.”
- Grace Knauff, mother of 2016 campers
