The 1975 return stateside for a North American tour this spring in support of their successful album, I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it (Dirty Hit/Interscope Records). The British art-pop quartet’s sophomore album, released last February, was No. 1 on Rolling Stone’s list of Best Pop Albums in 2016. Entertainment Weekly also billed it as “2016’s most progressive pop-rock album.”

The album’s current hit single, “Somebody Else,” is Top 10 at Modern Rock Radio, while its video (posted below) has racked up more than 15 million views.

Four school friends from the outskirts of Manchester formed The 1975 in 2002. Ten years later, the quartet of Matty Healy (vocals/guitar), Ross MacDonald (bass), Adam Hann (guitar, keyboard) and George Daniel (drums) emerged in the U.K.’s music scene with their Facedown EP. Then, in 2013, the band’s self-titled debut album entered the U.K. charts at No. 1 and quickly sold 1 million copies worldwide.

The 1975 is nominated for two Brit Awards and will perform at the February 22 ceremony.
