Starlight Earns Best of KC ’20 Awards

Thank you to all who voted! Kansas City Magazine recently announced the winners of its 2020 Best of KC readers poll and we’re thrilled to announce that Starlight made the cut. Our historic venue won in two categories and was awarded “runner up” for a third.

BEST LIVE THEATER VENUE
Winner: Starlight Theatre
Runner Up: The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

BEST OUTDOOR MUSIC VENUE
Winner: Starlight Theatre
Runner Up: The Crossroads at Grinders

BEST MUSIC VENUE
Winner: Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts
Runner Up: Starlight Theatre

Earlier this year, Kansas City Magazine asked for nominations for the “Best of KC” in more than 250 categories—ranging from best burger, to best attraction, and everything in between. After narrowing down the nominations the final ballot was released to readers to vote. And vote they did! Kansas City Magazine reports a huge increase in voting from previous years with more than 350,000 votes in the finals.
