Starry Night at Starlight with Kalen Allen

Young Friends of Starlight will host a newly reimagined fundraiser event—Starry Night at Starlight on Saturday, September 11. This year’s event highlights an inaugural class of All-Stars—20 of Kansas City’s most dynamic charitable movers and shakers.  

Joining this year’s group is Honorary All-Star Kalen Allen, an actor and digital creator best known for “OMKalen” on Ellentube from “The Ellen Show.” Kalen has close ties to Starlight, having received the Vincent Legacy Scholarship in 2009 as a student at West Middle School. Now, he lives in Los Angeles and works as an actor and digital creator. Learn more about this year’s entire group of All-Stars here. 

Donation levels for Starry Night at Starlight start at $100 and include: 

• Tickets to the Saturday evening performance of Starlight’s On Your Feet!, a musical based on the life and music of Emilio and Gloria Estefan 
• Pre-show drinks, food trucks and photos 

• Post-show dance party with drinks and live music from Lost Wax 
• Support for Starlight’s Bob Rohlf Internships Program, which provides paid summer arts administration internships to college students
