Broadway’s Best to Perform During Thanksgiving Parade

The nation’s most beloved spectacle, the Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, returns for the 88th year of magic on Thursday, Nov. 27. A full broadcast of the parade will air on NBC, with “Today” hosts Matt Lauer, Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie. Portions of the parade hosted by Kevin Frazier, “Entertainment Tonight” and Thea Andrews, “The Insider” will air on CBS.

Each broadcast will feature performances by different Broadway shows. Performance details of each broadcast are listed below.

NBC – Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Thursday, November 27 at 9 am

Before Santa arrives it is a Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade tradition to feature highlights from some of Broadway’s best, and this year is no exception.

The 88th annual event will feature performances from the Tony-winning cast of A Gentleman s Guide to Love & Murder, The Last Ship, On the Town, Side Show and the Radio City Rockettes. The event will also feature a live sneak peek of NBC’s Peter Pan Live! telecast and a performance from the Broadway-bound Finding Neverland.

Also making parade appearances on Turkey Day are Annie movie headliner Quvenzhane Wallis, Cirque du Soleil and Idina Menzel.

CBS – Thanksgiving Day Parade

Thursday, November 24 8 am
Global superstar and seven-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift will perform during CBS’s broadcast of the Thanksgiving Day Parade. A CBS Thanksgiving tradition in its 54th year, the special will feature portions of the 88th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade live from New York City.

Additional performances during the parade will include the Broadway casts of the hit Broadway productions Matilda and Pippin.
