In case you missed it—Starlight’s President & CEO, Rich Baker, appeared on KCPT’s “Kansas City Week in Review” in May. Joined by Randy Wistoff of the Kansas City Zoo, Bob Kendrick of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, and Brenda Tinnen of the Sprint Center, KCPT’s Nick Haines interviewed the group regarding how each of them have navigated the pandemic. They discussed what the return of patrons will look like and what the future of some of Kansas City’s iconic institutions hold.

As the panelists discussed, the entertainment and tourism industries face unique hardships in returning to “normal,” as their business models rely on patrons gathering in central locations. As Starlight prepares to reopen, staff and leadership continue to work closely with the city and our colleagues at other Kansas City institutions to create a safe plan moving forward.
