The National High School Musical Theatre Awards™ (the Jimmy Awards) celebrates the best of the best in high school musical theatre from across the nation.
Starlight Theatre sends two Blue Star Award winners to New York City to compete. Starlight's two students compete against other high school students from across the United States for Best Performance by an Actor and Actress, as well as other honors and scholarships. In addition to the awards ceremony, students participate in a nine-day professional training intensive with notable theatre professionals.
Since their inception in 2009, the National High School Musical Theatre Awards have granted students more than $1 million in university and conservatory scholarships. Several competitors have already been cast in Broadway, touring, and West End productions.
