KC Loves Starlight Day

We’re gearing up for our biggest summer season ever – and a communitywide celebration of KC Loves Starlight Day!

On Thursday, April 28, the City Council of Kansas City approved a special action that officially declares today Monday, May 2, as KC Loves Starlight Day.

This City declaration is in recognition of the fact that the iconic Starlight Theatre opens its 66th season on Tuesday, May 3 with alternative rock band The 1975. That show is the first of a very exciting summer at Starlight that will encompass at least 70 performance nights, including eight award-winning Broadway musicals and nearly 30 big-name concerts.

In celebration of KC Loves Starlight Day, we are asking Kansas Citians to share what they love most about Starlight on Twitter. Tell us what show you are looking forward to the most or share a favorite memory of Starlight, using the hashtag #KCLovesStarlight.
