Synopsis

Jagged Little Pill presents a vivid, messy, and chaotic portrayal of a modern-day family who deal with their pain and try to heal. The Healy family appears to be the picture-perfect family in their suburban Connecticut neighborhood.

Yet pictures can be deceiving. Mother MJ battles a growing addiction to opiates following a car accident and battles with trauma in her past. Father Steve watches his wife become increasingly withdrawn and distant. Meanwhile their child Frankie is determined to find her own voice and discover her sexuality, while their son Nick must balance the pressure of his parents to do well against exposing his own faults in order to make sure justice is served.

Content Considerations

Jagged Little Pill includes on-stage depictions of:

Opioid abuse, drug overdose, rape and sexual violence, references to pornography, underage consensual and nonconsensual sex, alcohol use by minors, use of strong language, references of religious bias, racism, and interracial adoption.
