Sister is Back in Class

2016-11-08
CATEGORY: Indoor Series

Sit up straight, spit out your gum and get ready to laugh (out loud – like you never could in real catechism class)! “Sister” is returning to Starlight Indoors after a very well-received run last January, but this time she’ll be “teaching” her very own take on Christmas catechism.

The third show of the 2016-17 Starlight Indoors series, Sister’s Christmas Catechism plays for 23 performances from Saturday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Dec. 18 in Starlight’s heated, indoor Cohen Community Stage House.

Actress Mary Zentmyer, who delighted Starlight audiences in Late Nite Catechism, returns to the stage to share the story of the Nativity as only “Sister” can. To put this hilarious holiday extravaganza in perspective, think “CSI: Bethlehem” and get ready to help Sister solve the mystery that has long intrigued historians: Whatever happened to the Magi’s gold???

“I’m very excited to return to the land of Miraculous barbecue and Glorious wineries,” Zentmyer said. “I hope to see all of last January’s hooligans again at Jesus’ Birthday Party. Don’t be tardy for the party!”

Audiences will get further into the holiday spirit thanks to Sister’s onstage choir, the Starlight STARS of Tomorrow, who are students from metro area middle and high schools. “I’m so excited to work with these talented young people that I even asked to temporarily rename them the STARS of Bethlehem!”
