Some EPIC Changes for Starlight Subsidiary
It’s been a busy year for Starlight Theatre’s event-focused subsidiary. First, the company updated its name to EPIC Events, Inc. (formerly EPIC Entertainment, Inc.) to better represent the comprehensive services it provides in creating and managing live events, conferences and meetings.
When EPIC was founded in 2002, the name EPIC Entertainment was appropriate because the company focused on the entertainment aspects of events, including creating custom shows, booking headline acts and producing videos. While entertainment continues as a key service area, the company expanded its offerings to meet clients’ evolving needs.
EPIC Events has also redesigned its look, invested in its team, and refined efforts to bring private events to the nationally renowned Starlight venue.
Why all the changes? The intent is simple, according to President & Creative Director Donna Thomason. “We’re positioning to better serve our current and future partners in an ever-evolving, fast-paced event industry,” she said. “We continue to challenge ourselves to broaden EPIC’s scope of services, find new solutions that benefit our clients and elevate their event experiences in new and exciting ways.”
After unveiling its new brand, EPIC Events carried the momentum into creating and launching a new website. The fresh and modern site is easy to navigate and understand. “We’ve streamlined how we talk about what we do, and we’ve kept it simple and direct,” Thomason said.
EPIC Events currently manages more than 60 events for corporate, nonprofit and private clients. The company’s client list includes Bayer HealthCare Animal Health, Polsinelli, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City, Truman Medical Centers and many more. EPIC creates and manages events year-round at venues across the country. And, to bring value to its Starlight Theatre parent company, EPIC manages private events on-site at the theatre venue from mid-October to mid-April.
