Staci Shute is Our New Group Sales Coordinator

Starlight Theatre is pleased to welcome Staci Shute as our new Group Sales Coordinator. Newly relocated from Las Vegas to the heart of the Midwest, Staci calls Starlight home during work hours and Lawrence, Kan., home the rest of the time.

“Moving to the Midwest has been a bit of a culture shock, especially with the cold weather and the slower-paced lifestyle, but I must say I enjoy it,” she said. “I have always heard of Midwestern hospitality, and I agree that everyone I have met thus far has been very kind and welcoming.”

In Las Vegas, Staci worked at the world-renowned Hard Rock Hotel and, most recently, at Las Vegas’ “Cowboy Central,” the South Point Hotel and Casino. Her past positions focused on entertainment, venue operations and sales. “These are all areas I am passionate about, and this new career opportunity at Starlight is the perfect combination of them all,” she said.

Staci is learning all about Starlight and the shows included in the 2015 Broadway season. She will be getting involved in the community on Starlight’s behalf and looks forward to working with organizations and individuals in Kansas City and surrounding areas on their group ticket needs.

While this graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, is warming up to her new surroundings, Staci isn’t yet ready to shift her allegiance to her new hometown team, particularly after the recent KU-UNLV basketball showdown at Allen Fieldhouse. For now it will have to be … Rock Chalk, Starlight!
