Starlight Theatre concludes its 65th anniversary season in September, and the theatre’s biggest annual fundraising event will put a crowning touch on another successful summer of Broadway and concert entertainment.
Under the leadership of co-chairs Bonne and Cliff Illig, the Starlight Theatre Annual Benefit Gala will mark its 29th year on Saturday night, Sept. 26. The 2015 Gala theme, PRISM: Reflecting Forward, recognizes the transformations that Starlight inspires, particularly among the 5,000 area children and young adults served by its theatre arts education programs each year.
In 2015, the gala was moved from its traditional May timing to September. The fall date allows Starlight to add a new highlight to the evening’s program – the first public unveiling of Starlight’s 2016 Broadway lineup! A high-energy, multimedia preview will give gala attendees the very first look at our upcoming season.
Other gala highlights will include honoring local civic and business leaders Peter and Michelle deSilva with Starlight’s 2015 Star Award, live performances by youth who have participated in Starlight’s education programs, cocktail reception, multicourse dinner on the Starlight stage and dancing afterward.
Sponsorship and benefactor opportunities are still available. Individual tickets may be purchased for $375 each.
