Just before the holidays, Starlight had the opportunity to give back to the very community that pours so much into our organization. In a continued effort to be a community partner in and around Swope Park, Starlight contributed to Southeast High School’s “Dress for Success Closet” clothing drive. The drive also aided the KC Refugee Organization.
For weeks, Starlight staff brought in new and gently used clothing items, collecting more than 75 pieces for the Dress for Success Closet. Staff delivered boxes of suits, slacks, dresses, sweaters and more to volunteers on Dec. 5, 2020.
“It was a simple yet important way to help others in our Swope Park neighborhood,” said Barb Schulte, Starlight Vice President of Community Engagement. “We hope our donations help students and others shine in their job interviews and workplaces.”
Way to go Starlight! Caring never goes out of style!
