In April, Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City notified M’racle Morgan-Bryant that she earned the new Voice of Potential (VP) position with BBBSKC. A sophomore at Summit Christian Academy, M’racle has been a dedicated member of the Starlight Stars since 2016 in addition to performing in Starlight galas and community holiday performances.
Created in 2018, the Voice of Potential is a leadership role that represents the perspective of Littles to BBBSKC leaders. The VP attends signature BBBSKC events, advocates for Littles still waiting for a Big and works as an intern for the organization.
“I'm really looking forward to opportunities to inspire and lead others,” M’racle said in a statement to BBBSKC. “I can't wait to spread happiness to people like me so they can hopefully feel how I feel about BBBS. I want to shine a light in my community, and I feel like this is going to be the perfect opportunity to do that. I can't wait!”
M’racle matched with her Big Sister seven years ago and is the second student to serve as the Voice of Potential for the Kansas City chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters. BBBSKC’s outgoing Voice of Potential called M’racle to share the good news, and her reaction was caught on camera. See her heartwarming response below:
Congrats, M’racle! Your Starlight family is proud of you and can’t wait to see what you do in your new role.
