Starlight STARS Perform in the Community
The Starlight STARS of Tomorrow are taking their show on the road. Starlight’s youth performance troupe will entertain audiences this Saturday, Aug. 29, at the Kansas City Ballet’s Fifth Annual KC Dance Day.
The STARS take the stage at 10:10 a.m. to perform their 2015 Broadway season medley, including numbers from Cinderella, Pippin, Mary Poppins and more. KC Dance Day is open to the public and is held at the Ballet’s Todd Bolender Center at 500 W. Pershing in Kansas City, Mo.
The talented teens also will be featured entertainers at Starlight’s 29th Annual Benefit Gala on Sept. 26. At the fundraising event, the STARS will provide a real-life example of the ways in which Starlight’s education programs advance the performance talents and dreams of Kansas City children and young adults.
Also on the calendar for the STARS this fall are two performances Saturday, Oct. 10 at St. Peter’s Meyer Fest. They will be on stage at 10:30 a.m. and noon at the event, which takes place at Meyer Boulevard and Holmes in Brookside, Mo.
And once the holiday season gets into full swing, look for more announcements from the STARS. As in past years, they will perform a holiday medley at a variety of public gatherings across Kansas City.
