Calling all college students! Apply today to be a Starlight intern! Starlight’s Bob Rohlf Internship Program is now accepting applications for summer 2020 internships. The program gives students the opportunity to work with professionals throughout Starlight’s nonprofit organization in fields like operations, marketing, education and accounting. Students selected for internships will gain firsthand, real-world experience while contributing to the success of Starlight’s Broadway shows, concert series and educational initiatives.
Students will have the opportunity to showcase their skills while playing a large part in the day-to-day activities of a professional theatre. In addition to daily assignments and tasks, Starlight interns enjoy a variety of professional development, networking and community service opportunities.
“Being able to work in such an exciting atmosphere gave me truly unique and amazing work experiences,” Jacob Boresow, 2019 information systems intern, said. “I also loved being able to work and connect with members across all areas of the organization to gain an understanding of how each department contributes to Starlight.”
The program is named in honor of former Starlight Theatre President and Executive Producer Bob Rohlf. Although Starlight has offered internships since 1984, benefactors Don and Adele Hall named the program in 2008 upon Rohlf’s retirement.
Interested students should submit an application, cover letter and resume, as well as work samples (if requested). For more information, visit kcstarlight.com/internships. Applications for accounting and information systems are due Feb. 17. All other applications are due March 2.
