*By agreement with Actors’ Equity Association, Equity members must be given audition priority over non-union talent. Starlight Theatre is actively seeking a multi-cultural cast and utilizes non-traditional casting in its productions when ethnicity is not germane to the role or overall production.
Grease will be performed on the Cohen Community Stage at Starlight Theatre.
Auditions will be held in Berger Studio at Starlight Theatre. Park in the Zebra Lot located on the east side of theatre and enter through Gate 8.

10 a.m. - Male Dance Call - Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.
11 a.m. - Female Dance Call – Registration begins at 10:30 a.m.
12 p.m. - Singing callbacks (from dance)
1 p.m. - Reading Callbacks
3 p.m. - Auditions for character “Miss Lynch”
(All roles except for Miss Lynch are required to be skillful dancers and must be able to convincingly play a high school teen.)
- Bring a resume and headshot
- Dancers should wear jazz/character shoes
- Music: Legit Up-tempo Broadway or Pop/Rock. Bring sheet music in your key; accompanist will not transpose.

Male, Teen, The leader of the Burger Palace Boys; good-looking, strong and confident, with an air of easy-going charm. Excellent Dancer. (Range: tenor, D4–B5)
Female Teen, New girl in town; sweet, wholesome, naive, cute, and innocent, changes to sassy and sultry. (Range: Soprano, A3–F#5)
Female Teen, Leader of the Pink Ladies; tough, sarcastic and outspoken but vulnerable. (Range: Alto A3–C5)
Female Teen, A dreamer; good-natured but not too smart, she is heavily made up, fussy about her appearance, particularly her hair. She can't wait to finish high school so she can be a beautician. (Range: Alto, A3–D5)
Female Teen, The 'beauty' of the Pink Ladies; pretty and looks older than the other girls, but betrays her real age when she opens her mouth. She tries to act sophisticated. (Range Alto, C4–C5)
Female Teen, Funny, loud, compulsive eater and awkward member of the Pink Ladies. Loud and pushy with the girls, but shy with boys. (Range: Alto, A3-C5)
Male Teen, The youngest of the guys; small, boyish and open, with a disarming smile and a hero-worshipping attitude towards the other guys. He also plays the guitar. (Range: Tenor, D4-A5)
Male Teen, The second in command of the Burger Palace Boys; tough-looking, tattooed, surly and avoids any show of softness. He has an offbeat sense of humor. (Range: Tenor, C4–F5)
Male Teen, A member of the Burger Palace Boys; funny Italian-American, he is a braggart and wheeler-dealer who thinks he's a real lady-killer. (Range: baritone, G3–A5)
Male Teen, The anything-for-a-laugh stocky type of boy; a clown who enjoys winding people up, he is full of mischief p half-baked schemes and ideas. (Range: Tenor, D4-A5)
Female Teen The best dancer at St. Bernadette's; a loud mouth, she wins the dancing competition with Danny. Excellent Dancer. (Range: Alto, C4–C5)
Male Teen, The class valedictorian; physically awkward, with weak eyes and a high-pitched voice. He's a typical 'apple-polisher' - both pompous but gullible. (Range: Tenor, A3–E5)
Male Teen, All-American, rock-star “greaser” student at Rydell High, whose real name is Clarence. (Range:Tenor, G4-E5)
Female Teen, A typical cheerleader; attractive, athletic, sure-of-herself, but can be given to bursts of disconcerting enthusiasm. She's a bit of a pain and unpopular with the Pink Ladies, and can twirl a baton. (Range: Alto, D4-A4)
Male, Age Flexible, Frenchy's suave and slick guardian angel, who encourages her to stay in school. (Range: Tenor, E4–F5)
Male Teen, A typical 'teen audience' disc jockey; slick, egotistical and fast-talking. He is also a veteran 'Greaser. (Range: Ensemble/Part Flexible)
Adult Female, Age Flexible, A no-nonsense, serious, loud, English teacher
