About the Gala

Gala Co-chairs Dan Hesse and Diane Canaday Hesse invite you to join them for the 2013 Starlight Benefit Gala, “The Unlimited Sounds of Starlight,” set for Saturday, May 18 at Starlight Theatre.

In addition to the concerts and stage productions enjoyed by our local community, young people throughout the metropolitan area benefit from Starlight’s quality educational programming. It takes many resources to keep Starlight, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, well-maintained and in operation. Ticket sales cover only a portion of these costs. The annual Gala is its largest fund-raising effort, and its success is critical to helping reach the organizational goals.

During this year’s Gala Kansas City civic leaders, Greg and Deanna Graves, will be honored as recipients of the 2013 Starlight Star Award. Their tremendous commitments to Starlight as well as to other important causes in the Greater Kansas City community are examples of community leadership we can all take pride in celebrating.
