
Student Performances
Starlight is proud to present live performances for local students to attend during the school day as a field trip. These performances feature international, award-winning theater companies to inspire and engage students.
All field trip performances are approximately one hour/60 minutes in length. All performances are held inside the climate-controlled Cohen Community Stage House. There’s room for 464 people, and seats are filled on a first-come first-served basis.

2026-2027 Season

The Snowy Day and Other Stories
October 22-23, 2026 | 10 a.m. & 12:30 p.m.
Grade recommendation: Grades K-3
Ezra Jack Keats’ treasured characters come to life in this humorous and fun adaptation of the collected stories: “Whistle for Willie”, “Goggles!”, “A Letter to Amy”, and “The Snowy Day.” Using innovative shadow puppetry, The Snowy Day And Other Stories celebrates the magic and boundless possibilities of childhood and the challenges of growing up.

The Invisible Boy
February 18-19, 2027 | 10 a.m. & 12:30 p.m.
Grade recommendation: Grades 1-4
Meet Brian. No one notices him. No one includes him. He just feels invisible. But everything suddenly changes when a new student named Justin arrives. A bit of creativity helps form a new friendship, unleashing Brian’s lively personality and vivid imagination. This high-spirited musical, complete with fun songs and heartfelt humor, will help us all discover the possibilities that begin with a simple act of kindness.

The Gruffalo
April 1-2, 2027 | 10 a.m. & 12:30 p.m.
Grade recommendation: Grades K-3
On a daring adventure in search of hazelnuts, Mouse meets the cunning Fox, the eccentric old Owl and the high-spirited Snake. Will the story of the scary Gruffalo save Mouse from ending up as dinner for these hungry woodland creatures? After all, there’s no such thing as a Gruffalo–is there?
