The Intern Finale
My internship at Starlight has come to an end. After an exciting summer of trying new things and learning about my professional career, it is time for me to say goodbye to Starlight. Not permanently, I already have plans to come back for a few concerts. It makes it easier to know I will be back in this magical place in just a few months, but I still feel this chapter ending.

When I started in May (and experienced taking shelter during a tornado warning), I expected these few months to fly by because of how busy this season is. However, I don’t think I truly prepared myself for how FAST it would go. The amount I was able to experience and learned in just 12 weeks feels crazy. I was able to see three Broadway shows, two concerts and participate in fun events. This internship turned out to be everything I was looking for and I am sad to have to leave.
The beauty of Starlight is something I will never forget. The magic this venue creates is incomparable to any other place I have been. Because it is not just a venue. It is a place where the community can come together to enjoy the arts.
Starlight is the perfect place to realize how important fine arts are to every person. Every show I was able to see, I could feel how special this place is. I loved being able to see people enjoy live theatre together. People singing along, dancing in their seats, and creating new memories on their own.

My memories at Starlight are not just from shows, but also from the people I have been able to meet while I have been here. My intern friends and staff made this experience so enjoyable, and I feel like I will stay in touch with a lot of them for a long time.
I feel very sentimental about my time at Starlight. I never expected an internship to be a place where I could have fun and learn professional experience. I want to thank everyone at Starlight for such a wonderful time here where I felt included and a part of this magical place.
My final note: pay attention to when Internship Applications come out! I cannot recommend it enough for someone looking for an internship.
Thank you,
Ann Vukcevich
