Soon, Starlight will announce the 2021 AdventHealth Broadway Season, and with Broadway classics, sensational new hits and some seriously catchy jukebox musicals, it’s sure to be a summer to please. When patrons return to Starlight in 2021, they may notice a few changes throughout the venue. In our “off” season, Starlight leadership and staff have been hard at work with the City of Kansas City on a number of improvements to align with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) initiatives.

This project is city-managed and funded by an investment of approximately $3.1 million from the City of Kansas City. When patrons return to Starlight in 2021, they’ll notice:

  • Increased number of ADA seating locations
  • Leveled walkways in key areas throughout the venue
  • Raised seating in the outer Terrace sections
  • New, easy-to-follow directional signage

Additionally, the project will provide improved technology for the Plaza 2 sound booth.

In order to offer ADA patrons equal access, the construction and these improvements required some patrons to move seats. If you are affected by this, Starlight staff will reach out with options (they may have already contacted you!).

We’re thrilled to make Starlight more accessible for all audiences and can’t wait to welcome patrons back in 2021. Stay tuned for the 2021 AdventHealth Broadway Season announcement—coming soon!
