In March, the 25-time Emmy Award winning talk show starring Rosie O’Donnell returned for one night only--this time, digitally, with a live-stream on Broadway.com and its YouTube Channel. Some of the biggest names from Broadway were a part of this special, one-night-only event--Audra McDonald, Billy Porter, Ben Platt, composer Alan Menken and many more celebrities joined Rosie online from the comfort of their homes. This special edition of The Rosie O’Donnell Show raised more than $600,000 for The Actors Fund, which provides resources, including emergency assistance, for entertainment professionals.

National Theatre Launches Free Streaming Service

London’s National Theatre has traditionally filmed their live performances to air in cinemas at a later date - so when the coronavirus pandemic hit, they had high-quality footage just waiting to be released. Now, each Thursday they’ll live stream one of their productions for free on their YouTube channel. The videos will be available for one week to watch after the initial stream and includes bonus content--like Q&As with the cast and creative teams. Titles include “Jane Eyre,” “Treasure Island,” and “Twelfth Night,” If the pandemic continues, we hope that more will be released.
