Multi-platinum-selling recording artist and entertainer Josh Groban will travel to Starlight Theatre on Tuesday, Aug. 16, as part of his newly announced “JOSH GROBAN: ON STAGE” U.S. tour.

Starlight is among the more than 20 venues Groban will visit in summer 2016 in support of his latest album, Stages. Released in April and already certified Gold by RIAA, Stages explores Groban’s love of Broadway and Broadway musicals.

Tickets go on sale to the public Friday, Dec. 11.

Stages was recorded in Los Angeles and London’s Abbey Road with a 75-piece orchestra. The album features songs from Les Misérables (“Bring Him Home”); Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Carousel (“You’ll Never Walk Alone”); Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park with George (“Finishing the Hat”), Sweeney Todd (“Not While I’m Around”) and Into the Woods (“Children Will Listen”); The Fantasticks (“Try to Remember”); A Chorus Line (“What I Did For Love”); Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera (“All I Ask of You”), The Wizard of Oz (“Over the Rainbow”) and others. Later this month, PBS stations will air an all-new television special, “Josh Groban: Stages Live,” based on the Stages album and recorded before a live audience at the historic Los Angeles Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Groban also will make several TV appearances in the coming weeks including “The Talk” on Dec. 11, “The Late Late Show with James Corden” on Dec. 14 and “Good Morning America” later in December.

Scheduled to join Groban in Kansas City and elsewhere, Sarah McLachlan has sold more than 40 million albums worldwide. McLachlan is an eight-time Juno Award winner and three-time Grammy Award winner. Her landmark fifth album, the 10x-platinum Surfacing, contained two Grammy-winning tracks, “Building a Mystery” and “Last Dance.” Her most recent album, Shine On, explores her personal journey of the last three years navigating love, loss and change.
